Staff Profile

Sarah is the Early Childhood Special Education Teacher (ECSE) at Nokomis South. She has taught in many roles and with many age groups. She was a fourth grade teacher in Las Vegas Nevada. She then moved to the Twin Cities and taught at Twin Cities Academy (TCA). At TCA she was the Inclusion Learning Disabilities Teacher for middle and high school. Sarah earned her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and minored in Special Education at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. 

When Sarah is not at school, she is spending time with her husband and two sons. Sarah enjoys reading, going on nature hikes, and gardening. Sarah has a son that attends Nokomis and her other son attended Nokomis as well. She believes strongly in the Montessori Method of teaching. Sarah believes exploration and curiosity help a child grow into a life-long learner and an independent thinker.
