Welcome! My name is Tanya and I have been teaching English language learners in several different schools in Saint Paul. I have rich experience working with students from various backgrounds and speaking many languages. As EL teacher at Nokomis school, I try to help students feel proud of their culture and confident in understanding the language used at school. During my day, I work with small groups or kids to improve their English language skills and be successful in all subjects at school.
I have learned how to cope with the challenges of learning a new language and living in a different country first hand. I had come to the US from Ukraine. In my spare time I enjoy outdoors, traveling, dabbling in art and raising twin boys.
